Pausing and Restarting a Virtual Machine

KS / KS 5000U / KSi 5024U

VMs may pause due to I/O unavailability during the following operations:

  • Rolling updates of the firmware.
  • Shutdown/ Delete of the node where the volume is mounted.

Currently, manual intervention is required to recover from this state. Users must manually restart the paused VM to restore its functionality.

Procedure

  1. Go to EonKube > Virtualization > Virtual Machines.
  2. Locate the VM with a state of Paused.
  3. Click on the ⋮ icon (more options) and select Restart to restart VM.
  4. It may take a few seconds for the VM to restart. The state will change to Running upon completion.
