Adding an Account
You can save your backup data on cloud storage and/or the object storage on EonStor GS/GSe sys-tems. To access your cloud storage, create an account with its corresponding credential.
Note:
Compatible cloud storage are Amazon S3 and Infortrend object storage service.
An account represents a combination of an access key and a secret key to a cloud service. To identify each account, specify an identifying name for them.
Procedure
- Go to EonOne for KS > Settings > Backup & restore > Cloud settings.
- Go to the Cloud storage accounts section. Click Add an account.
- Go to the Add an account page, and specify the following information:
- Cloud provider: Select a desired cloud service provider: Amazon S3 or EonStor GS/GSe.
- Account: Specify a name for identifying the account.
- Access key: Specify the first access key acquired from the cloud service provider.
- Secret key: Specify the second access key acquired from the cloud service provider.
- Click OK.
Adding a Backup Destination
Procedure
- Go to EonOne for KS > Settings > Backup & restore > Cloud settings.
- Go to the Backup destination section. Click Add a destination.
- Go to the Add a destination page. Specify the following information:
- Name: Specify a name for identifying the destination.
- Cloud provider: Select a desired account. If needed, you can add a new account by click-ing +. For more information, see Adding an Account.
- Bucket: Specify a bucket name.
- Encryption key: If the specified bucket is encryption enabled, specify the encryption key. If not, leave this field blank.
Note:
SSE-C (Amazon S3) is not supported.
- Region: For an Amazon S3 bucket, specify the region.
- Endpoint: For a bucket in Infortrend object storage, specify the endpoint to it. For an Ama-zon S3 bucket, leave this field blank or specify the endpoint to it.
- Disable SSL: For an Amazon S3 bucket, if you enable this option, the connection to the bucket will be non-SSL.
- Click OK.
Managing an Account
You can view account details and the configuration file of the account, as well as edit/delete an ac-count.
Procedure
- Go to EonOne for KS > Settings > Backup & restore > Cloud settings.
- To view account information, find the desired account entry in the list and click Details.
- To edit an account, select the desired account entry in the list and click Edit. Change the settings and click OK.
- To delete an account, select the desired account entry in the list and click Delete.
