HPC Management

KS / KS 5000U / KSi 5008U

High-Performance Computing (HPC) is a technology that enables the parallel processing of large, complex computations using multiple computing resources. Kubernetes, as a mature container orchestration platform, provides efficient resource management and automated scaling capabilities, allowing HPC applications to be containerized for flexible resource allocation and scaling.

Deploying HPC on Kubernetes with IEC is suitable for scenarios requiring high computation, such as large data analysis, artificial intelligence (AI) model training, scientific simulations, and financial modeling the platform's flexible scalability can handle diverse workloads across different industries.

Meanwhile, IEC provides high-performance storage to meet demanding data storage needs. The external storage server (GS/GSx) functions as the central hub for data storage and management for HPC applications. All long-term data for HPC is stored on this external server. This includes critical data such as application images, binaries, user data, output data, logs, backups, and archives.

In this chapter, we will guide you the steps to complete HPC settings and how to install custom applications on IEC.
