Collaborating with Others

KS / KS 5000U / KSi 5008U

Overview

IEC supports collaboration through project-based resource sharing. By using shared project membership and shared storage locations, users can work together on the same HPC tasks, input data, and output files.

Project owners can grant access to project resources by adding users as project members or project owners. Once access is granted, authorized users can work with shared files and collaborate on the same project environment.

Procedure

  1. Go to EonKube > Advance > Project / Namespace
  2. Find your own Project: You can only manage the project that you are assigned as project owner.
  3. Click project action on > Select Edit Config
  4. Add the user to your project as a Project member or Project owner.
    • Project owners can share access to the project by inviting team members. This grants them the ability to collaborate on shared data.
    • Members can access data stored in external storage, including application data, job logs, and job results, facilitating collaborative work.
  5. The user will have read and write permission of your shared project after settings.
    • Project members can read and manipulate the data and jobs within the project, enabling effective teamwork.
    • While they have access to work with data, project members cannot modify project settings or share the project with others, ensuring control remains with the project owner.

By using IEC projects, users can collaborate efficiently with their team members, sharing vital resources and expertise to drive research success.
